The hood conceals the heart of the beast--a 4.2 FSI V8 engine with mid-mounted V8 spark-ignition, FSI direct injection, DOHC technology, two-light alloy cylinder heads with dual overhead camshafts (DOHC), two inlet valves, two sodium-cooled exhaust valves, and an intake manifold with integrated charge movement. Stopping won't be a problem because of the disc brakes with eight-piston brake calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear.
